2017 MVOS AWARDS CEREMONY

The awards ceremony for the “Mam Vëlo op d’Schaff” campaign (www.mvos.lu) took place on 20 September at the Pafendall Eco-Centre. Present were Secretary of State Camille Gira and Gilles Dostert, Verkéiersverbond General Manager. 17 teams were awarded prizes worth a total of €16,000 euros. 2017 was another record year – with 3,150 participants who rode 1,079,000 km by bike to get to work which reduced the amount of CO2 going into the environment by 240,300 kg!
The companies/institutions and school which managed to encourage the most employees/students to take part in this campaign were rewarded with the “Golden Gear Award”:
1st place: European Investment Bank
2nd place: European Union Court of Justice
3rd place: Luxembourg European Parliament
Cycle-friendly school: The European School Luxembourg II
