2018 MVOS AWARDS CEREMONY

The awards ceremony for the Mam Vëlo op d’Schaff competition took place on 21 September at La Coque and present were Félicie Weycker, Chair of the Verkéiersverbond Executive Board, and Gilles Dostert, the Verkéiersverbond’s General Manager. 19 teams were awarded prizes worth a total of €13,000. Once again 2018 was a record year with 3,694 participants who cycled 1,239,953 km to get to work, a feat which reduced the amount of CO₂ going into the environment by 276,199 kg!

Those companies/institutions and school which managed to encourage the most employees/students to take part in this campaign were rewarded with the “Golden Gear Award”:

1^st place: European Investment Bank (EIB)

2^nd place: European Union Court of Justice

3^rd place: Luxembourg European Parliament

Cycle-friendly school: The European School, Luxembourg II
