Changes to certain bus lines in the RGTR network from May 9, 2021

As part of the project to reorganize the RGTR bus network (phase n°4), modifications will take effect on a lot of RGTR lines from Sunday May 9, 2021. The adaptations of the timetables and routes are necessary in order to gradually improve the passengers mobility over the long term. The new timetables can already be viewed on www.mobiliteit.lu as well as on the adjoining mobile application.

Introduction of 12 new bus lines:

Major reorganization of certain RGTR lines

Following bus lines will be subject to a major reorganization:
165(*), 190(*), 209(*), 213(*), 218, 222, 223, 250, 255, 262, 270, 314(*), 340, 394(*), 402, 407(*), 431, 437, 445, 502, 537, 592, 595, 620, 622, 625, 635, 642, 655, 657, 660, 664, 685, 686, 687, 689, 740(*), 803(*), 805, 998(*).

Route changes on certain RGTR lines

Following bus lines will be subject to a slight modification of their route as well as on their schedule:
111, 117, 122(*), 144, 150, 185(**), 205, 300(***), 301(***), 307, 560, 570, 610, 618, 665, 819, 983.
(*) goes to Schrassig / (**) goes to Mondorf-les-Bains centre / (***) goes to P+R Metzange (F)

Reinforcement of certain RTGR lines

The following bus lines will benefit from additional departures in their schedules:
110, 185, 290, 295, 485, 522, 536, 540, 545, 560, 572, 608, 610.

Changes to some RGTR school bus lines

Changes will be made to the stops, routes and/or timetables of the following RGTR school bus lines:
121, 129, 151, 176, 302, 421, 521, 554, 571, 586, 594, 920, 930, 970, 980.

In addition, the following RGTR school bus lines will be put into operation: 284, 343, 446, 593, 604, 614, 615, 616, 639, 643, 654.

Adaptations on certain lines of the Autobus de la Ville de Luxembourg from May 9, 2021

Following the reorganization of the AVL network in December 2020, as part of the entry into service of the tram to the Central Station and in order to optimize the network, the Luxembourg City Bus Service will adapt certain timetables as from Sunday 9 May 2021.

The changes to the AVL lines concern:

  • Line 4: The Saturday timetable is shifted by 15 minutes between 8 am and 8 pm in the direction Leudelange – Dommeldange in order to guarantee better regularity of the buses on the common route of lines 4 and 14 between Cessange and the city center;
  • Line 23: during off-peak hours, line 23 will only run on the Eich – Pfaffenthal – Gare Centrale route and vice versa; the extension to Gasperich-, François Hogenberg will be canceled. Users can alternatively take lines 13 (Gasperich), 28 (Cloche d´Or, Howald) or 29 (Bonnevoie);
  • Line 28: The schedule is increased on Saturday afternoons in order to provide better service to the Cloche d´Or shopping center. The line will now run every 10 minutes in both directions between 2 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

Increase of the tram frequency since April 19, 2021

The frequency of the tram was increased on April 19, 2021 to a cadency of 4 minutes between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Closure of the footbridge connecting the Place de la Gare to the Rocade de Bonnevoie from May 14, 2021 to September 13, 2021

Modernization work on the footbridge connecting the Place de la Gare to the Rocade de Bonnevoie will take place from May 14, 2021 (10 p.m.) to September 13, 2021 (4 a.m.), making the structure inaccessible during this period. Pedestrians will have the choice to bypass the station to the south using the temporary footbridge and the underground (route inaccessible to PRM), to bypass the station to the north via the Rue de Bonnevoie and Rue du Fort Neipperg, or to use the lines AVL 20 and 28 connecting the Central Station and the Gare-Rocade stops.

Practical information

In order to inform users about these changes, the Mobilitéitszentral “MZ Mobil” van will be present with mobility advisers in front of the Ettelbrück train station from May 4 to 7, 2021 and from May 10 to 11, 2021, every day between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. In addition, the mobility advisers of the Mobilitéitszentral call center are available to travelers under the number (+352) 2465 2465 from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. .
