FARES NOW APPLY ON THE TRAM
On 31 January 2018From 1 February 2018
Mobility on Kirchberg has been greatly boosted by the arrival of the tram line which currently has eight stations, located nearby to areas of interest. To encourage passengers to get to know this new service, taking the tram was free until the end of January.

However, from 1 February 2018, you will have to pay to use the tram. But you
won’t need an extra ticket to travel by tram. Thanks to the single national
fare, your national ticket and your mKaart are valid right across Luxembourg
and for all trains and buses, and since recently also on the new tram line to
Kirchberg. You can still use the tram free of charge on Saturdays.
A short-duration ticket, valid for 2 hours, costs €2 and a long-duration ticket valid for 1 day is €4. You can buy your tickets from the ticket vending machines at tram stations, with our mTicket mobile app, on mShop or in the Mobilitéitszentral. You can also use the ticketing vending machines to reload your mKaart. And of course if you have a monthly or annual season ticket, they will still be completely valid on the tram.
Don’t forget to validate your ticket using a ticket validating machine inside the tram, or alternatively validate it with the mTicket app before you start your journey!
