Passenger rights

The Verkéiersverbond is the competent authority for the protection of the interests of travellers or passengers in several areas of public transport, and at several levels.

Currently, the Verkéiersverbond is active in four areas; namely, rail passengers’ rights and obligations, the rights of bus and coach passengers, monitoring the provisions for air carriers’ freedom to set prices, as well as the rights of passengers when travelling by sea or inland waterway.

In this section, readers will find relevant legal texts and the complaints procedures for the various situations which the Verkéiersverbond may become involved with.
