Tour de Luxembourg 2021 – Adaptations in public bus transport

On 13 September 2021

Due to the organization of the “Skoda Tour de Luxembourg” cycling race, the Public Transport Administration provides information on the arrangements made on certain bus lines.

The RGTR network bus lines as well as the AVL and TICE lines will be subject to deviations due to the closure of certain sections of roads and in order to reserve the public road for cyclists. Please find the planned adaptations below.

Tuesday September 14, 2021 – 1st stage of the Tour de Luxembourg 2021

AVL lines 6, 16, 18, 21 and 25 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The affected bus lines will not be able to serve the central part of Konrad Adenauer Boulevard and will be diverted by John F. Kennedy Avenue. The Antoine de St Exupéry , Konrad Adenauer and Avalon stops will be deleted and replaced by: Léon Hengen (rue Érasme) and Albert Borschette (rue Albert Borschette).

AVL line 30 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The concerned bus lines will be diverted between Kirchberg / village and the Réimerwee terminus, by the Joseph Bech bridge and avenue John F. Kennedy. The Schmëdd , Sichegronn , Konrad Adenauer and Avalon judgments will be deleted. Replacement stops:   rue Saint-Fiacre (house 18), Jean Monnet , Léon Hengen , and Albert Borschette .

AVL line 32 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The Antoine de St Exupéry , Sichegronn and Schmëdd stops on line 32 will be removed and replaced by Jean Monnet and the provisional stop rue Saint-Fiacre (house 18).

RGTR lines 109, 110, 111, 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 184, 303 and 323.

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Kirchberg-Luxexpo stop. Kirchberg-Europe Gare routière, – Antoine de St Exupéry, – Konrad Adenauer, -Avalon, –Poutty Stein and –Hugo Gernsback stops will not be served.

RGTR lines 299 and 300

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Kirchberg-Réimerwee stop. The Kirchberg-Europe Gare routière, – Antoine de St Exupéry, -Konrad Adenauer, Coudenhove-Kalergi and –Albert Borchette stops will not be served.

Wednesday September 15, 2021 – 2nd stage of the Tour de Luxembourg 2021

RGTR 222 line

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Steinfort-Schoul stop. Steinfort-um Quai stops will not be served.

RGTR 230 line

The concerned bus lines will be diverted after serving the Windhof stop via Hagen to Steinfort – terminus at the Steinfort-Schoul stop and vice versa. The Steinfort-Äischzenter, -Gemeng and –um Quai stops will not be served.

Line RGTR 248

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Steinfort-Schoul stop. The Steinfort-Gemeng, -al Schmelz and Kolonie stops as well as the towns of Hobscheid and Eischen will not be served.

RGTR 250 line

The bus lines concerned will be canceled for the duration of the event.

RGTR line 294

The buses 6148 and 6508 will end at the Wahl-Gemeng stop. The 6341 bus race will have its origin at the Wahl-Gemeng stop. The towns of Heispelt, Arsdorf and Koetschette will not be served.

RGTR line 329

The relevant buses will only run between Bour and Eischen. The towns of Steinfort, Hagen and Kleinbettingen will not be served.

RGTR line 332

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Garnich-Schmëtt stop. The towns of Windhof and Steinfort will not be served.

RGTR line 334

The concerned bus lines will have their origin / terminus at the Kleinbettingen-Gare stop. The locality of Steinfort will not be served.

RGTR line 522

The buses 6004 and 6364 will end at the Dellen-Am Duerf stop. The buses 6275 and 6635 will have their origin at the Dellen-Am Duerf stop. The towns of Hierheck, Grevels, Brattert and Kuborn will not be served.

RGTR line 535

The buses 5998 and 6358 will end at the Esch / Sûre-An der Gäert stop. Buses 6191 and 6551 will originate at the Esch / Sûre-an der Gäert stop. The stops of Esch / Sûre-SEBES as well as the towns of Lultzhausen, Bonnal, Insenborn, Neunhausen and Arsdorf will not be served.

RGTR line 536

The buses 6010, 6370 and 6550 will be diverted from Eschdorf-Quatre Vents via Heiderscheid to Heischtergronn without serving the Eschdorf-An der Driicht and -Mairie stops. Buses 6269 and 6629 will be diverted from Heischtergronn via Heiderscheid to Eschdorf-Quatre Vents without serving the Eschdorf-Mairie and –An der Driicht stops.

RGTR 618 line

The bus 6820 will end at the Esch / Sûre-An der Gäert stop. The Esch / Sûre-SEBES stop and the towns of Lultzhausen, Bonnal, Insenborn and Neunhausen will not be served.

RGTR line 619

The buses 6070, 6430 and 6347 will be canceled. The start of the 5939 Neunhausen – Koetschette-Schoul race will be brought forward by 5 minutes (new start 13:38).

RGTR 812 line

The buses 812 5428 will be able to circulate according to the normal route.

RGTR 820 line

The bus 6131 will be diverted from Wahl-Gemeng via the CR307 / CR308 to Koetschette and the CR309 to Arsdorf. The stops of Wahl-Kinnikshaff and Arsdorf-Am Gronn as well as the towns of Grevels and Heispelt will not be served.

Thursday 16 September 2021 – 3rd stage of the Tour de Luxembourg 2021

RGTR 185 line

Avenue Lou Hemmer in Mondorf-les-Bains will be blocked between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The concerned bus races will run via avenue Frantz Clément. The Mondorf-les-Bains-Place des Villes Jumelées stop will not be accessible and therefore canceled between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

RGTR lines 175, 177, 180, 185, 303, 304 and 309

Mondorf-les-Bains-Christophorus stops will not be accessible and therefore canceled between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

RGTR lines 218, 222, 230, 255 and 591 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Buses from Luxembourg-city will be diverted after serving the Strassen-Huogarten / Hondseck stop on the right towards the A6 motorway towards Capellen – exit 2 Mamer / Capellen – on the right towards route d ‘ Arlon – continued normal route and vice versa. Strassen-Aurélia (255, 230), -Benelux, -Barblé (222, 230), -Kessler (255, 591), -Geesseneck, -Schoenacht (255, 591), Bertrange-Belle Etoile stops will not be served as well as the locality of Mamer.

RGTR 240 line

Buses from Luxembourg-city will be diverted after serving the Strassen-Huogarten stop on the right towards the A6 motorway towards Capellen – exit 2 Mamer / Capellen – on the right route d’Arlon – at left towards rue de la Gare via CR103 towards Holzem – service from the Holzem-Bei der Bréck stop – continued normal route and vice versa. Strassen-Benelux, -Geeseneck, Bertrange-Belle Etoile, Holzem-Mamerstrooss, -Festsall and the locality of Mamer will not be served.

RGTR lines 258, 262, 265, 267, 275, 529, 590 and 595

All affected buses will be canceled between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

RGTR 260 line

Buses from Luxembourg-city will be diverted after serving the LUX (Belair) -Wandmillen stop on the right towards the A6 motorway towards Capellen – exit 2 Mamer / Capellen – right towards route d ‘Arlon – continued normal route – terminus at Kehlen-Um enneschte Buer stop – and vice versa. Strassen-Benelux, -Kessler, -Schoenacht, Bertrange-Belle Etoile, Kehlen-Bei Fiewer, -Schaarfeneck, -Katterwang and the towns of Mamer, Meispelt and Keispelt will not be served. The concerned bus routes will originate / terminate at the Kehlen-Um enneschte Buer stop.

RGTR 270 line

Buses from Luxembourg-city will be diverted after serving the Strassen-Huogarten stop on the right towards the A6 motorway towards Capellen – exit 2 Mamer / Capellen – right towards route d’Arlon – following normal route and vice versa. Strassen-Benelux, – Kessler, -Geeseneck, – Schoenacht, Bertrange-Belle Etoile and the towns of Mamer and Capellen will not be served.

RGTR 340 line

Buses coming from Luxembourg-city will be diverted after serving the Strassen-Hondseck stop on the right towards the A6 motorway towards Capellen – exit 2 Mamer / Capellen – on the right towards route d’Arlon – continued normal route – terminus at the Kehlen-um enneschte Buer stop and vice versa. Strassen-Aurélia, -Benelux, – Kessler, -Geeseneck, – Schoenacht, Betrange-Belle Etoile and the town of Mamer will not be served. The buses will originate / terminate at the Kehlen-Um enneschte Buer stop.

Friday September 17 – 4 th stage of the Tour de Luxembourg 2021

TICE line 4

In the direction of Dudelange: The Dudelange, Niddeschgaass and Dudelange, Gemeng stops are deleted and replaced by the Dudelange, Jugendhaus and Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever (Terminus) stops. All buses having their departures between 10:40 and 16:20 are canceled.

In the direction of Esch-sur-Alzette: The Dudelange, Gemeng, Dudelange, Strutzbierg and Dudelange, Kierch stops are deleted and replaced by the Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever (Départ) stop. All buses having their departures between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. are canceled

TICE line 5

In the direction of Dudelange: The Dudelange, Niddeschgaass and Dudelange, Gemeng stops are deleted and replaced by the Dudelange, Jugendhaus and Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever (Terminus) stops. All buses having their departures between 10:50 and 16:25 are canceled

In the direction of Esch-sur-Alzette: The Dudelange, Gemeng, Dudelange, Strutzbierg and Dudelange, Kierch stops are deleted and replaced by the Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever (Départ) stop. All buses having their departures between 10:50 am and 4:50 pm are deleted

TICE line 8

All races are deleted

TICE line 9

All races are deleted

TICE line 10

All races are deleted

TICE – School transport towards Schifflange, Tétange, Rumelange, Kayl and Dudelange

All races on lines 840, 841, 850, 860, 862, 863, 864, 870 and 875 are canceled from 1:00 p.m.

Citybus Dudelange

Two CityBus Dudelange lines, which will run on the one hand between Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever and Dudelange, Biereng and on the other hand between Dudelange, Lycée Nic Biever and Dudelange, Greisendall, are in place. These lines, operated by TICE, will replace Lines 8, 9 and 10 and will run every 30 minutes. Details on Citybus Dudelange 1 & 2 timetables can be found on the website www.tice.lu.

RGTR 201 line

The races concerned from Luxembourg will end at the Dudelange-Soibelkaul stop.

RGTR 207 line

Direction Kirchberg – Dudelange: The buses will run after serving the Dudelange-rue Antoine Zinnen stop via rue du Commerce – rue Lentz – rue Edison – on the left rue Dominique Lang – rue du Parc – terminus at l ‘Dudelange-Sports Center stop. The Dudelange-Gemeng stop will not be served. Alternative stops: Dudelange-Kiirch, -Jugendhaus and –Centre sportif (terminus)

Direction Dudelange – Kirchberg: The buses in the direction of Kirchberg will originate at the Dudelange-Center sportif stop and will circulate as follows: rue du Parc – rue de la Forêt – rue Madame Mayrisch de St Hubert – route de Zoufftgen – continued normal route. The Dudelange-Gemeng, Strutzebierg, rue Antoine Zinnen, rue Belair and -Kräizbierg stops will not be served. Temporary stops: 136-136a rue du Parc, School bus service 40-42 rue de la Forêt, 21 rue Mme Mayrisch de St Hubert, 3 rue Mme Mayrisch de St Hubert.

RGTR 305 line

Direction de Riedgen: The buses will run after serving the Dudelange-LNS stop via the route de Burange – rue Alexander Fleming – rue Pasteur – rue du Parc – rue de la Forêt – rue Mme Mayrisch de St Hubert – continued normal route. The stops at Dudelange-rue Ribeschpont, -rte de Luxembourg, -Kiirfecht, -Gare, -Niddeschgaass, -Gemeng, -Strutzbierg, -rue Antoine Zinnen, -rue Belair and -Kräizbierg will not be served. Exceptionally, Dudelange-Dennewald, -rue Alexander Fleming, -rue Fany Schumacher and rue du Parc will be served. Temporary stops: 136-136a rue du Parc, School bus service 40-42 rue de la Forêt, 21 rue Mme Mayrisch de St Hubert, 3 rue Mme Mayrisch de St Hubert.

Direction de Bettembourg Cactus: The buses will circulate via rue du Parc – rue Pasteur – rue Alexander Fleming – route de Burange – route de Luxembourg – continued normal route. The stops at Dudelange-Square Mayrisch, -Gare, -Nuddelsfabrik, -rte de Luxembourg and rue Ribeschpont will not be served. Exceptionally, Dudelange-Jugendhaus, -Centre sportif, -rue du Parc and -Bireng Barrière will be served. Provisional stop: 43-45 rue Alexander Fleming.

RGTR line 197 and 199 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

All the buses (197 4840-7030, 197 4781-7121 and 199 6070-6700) will be canceled during the duration of the organization.

Saturday 18 September 2021 – 5 th stage of the Tour de Luxembourg 2021

AVL line 2 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. and between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. approximately

In the Hamilius direction towards Limpertsberg, the line will be diverted after the Theater Quai 1 stop by avenue du Bois, rue Frantz Seimetz, avenue Joseph Sax and rue Nicolas Liez towards the Lycée Michel Lucius Quai 2 terminus. Lycée des Garçons Quai 1, Alen Tramsschapp Quai 1, Square André Quai 1, Waassertuerm Quai 1, Avenir Quai 1 and Siggy vu Lëtzebuerg stops will not be served and replaced by the stops Guillaume Schneider, Bois, Wassertuerm Quai 3 and Square André Quai 2 .

In the Limpertsberg direction towards Hamilius, the line will be diverted after the Lycée Michel Lucius Quai 2 terminus by avenue Pasteur and allée Scheffer towards the Theater Quai 2 stop. The stops Avenir Quai 2, Waassertuerm Quai 2, Square André Quai 2, Alen Tramsschapp Quai 2 and Lycée de Garçons Quai 1 will not be served and replaced by the NS Pierret, Alfred de Musset and Allée Scheffer stops in avenue Pasteur.

AVL lines 2, 8, 30 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. approximately:

The lines will not serve the Limpertsberg. After the Theater stop, they will take the Glacis bus parking lot located in avenue de la Faïencerie.
In both directions of traffic, the Lycée des Garçons, Alen Tramsschapp, Square André, Waassertuerm, Avenir, Siggy vu Lëtzebuerg, Lycée Michel Lucius, Faïencerie / INL, Henri VII, Ermesinde, Uni-Campus Limpertsberg and Batty Weber stops will not be served.

AVL 21 line between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. approximately:

The line will not serve part of the Rollingergrund / Belair-Nord district, as well as the Muhlenbach and Eich districts. Coming from the city center, it will be diverted after the Val Fleuri stop by Val Saint André, rue Alexandre Fleming, rue Thomas Edison towards a temporary terminus in rue des Primeurs in Strassen. Val St André, Roudebierg, Villeroy & Boch, Peiffeschbierg, Siwemuergen, Eecher Schmelz, École Eich, Eecher Plaz and Eich Center Culturel stops will not be served in both directions. The canceled stops will be replaced by a temporary stop at n ° 6-8 Val St André and the Strassen Primeurs terminus stop.

RGTR lines 258, 262, 265, 267, 529, 590 and 595 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All buses will be diverted between Luxembourg-Stäreplaz and Bridel via Strassen and vice versa. The stops of Rollingergrund-Biischtefabrik (262, 267, 595), -Bei der Fiels (262, 267, 595), – Beim Klomp (262, 267, 595), -Val Fleuri (262, 267, 595) will not be served ), -Val St. André (262, 267, 595), and-Roudebierg (258, 262, 265, 267, 270, 595)

RGTR 275 line from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All buses will be diverted between Luxembourg-Stäreplaz and Bridel via Strassen and vice versa. The buses will have their origin / terminus at the Luxembourg-Stäreplaz Quai 3 stop. Luxembourg-Theater Quai 1 / Quai 2, -Alen Eecherbierg, – Crispinus, -OECD, -Ecole stops will not be served Eich, -Eecher Schmelz, -Siwemuergen, -Peiffeschbierg, -Villeroy & Boch, -Centre Sportif Bambesch and Bridel-Biirgerkräiz.
