4th National Day of Respect in Public Transport
On the occasion of the national day dedicated to respect in public transport, stakeholders in public mobility in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg gathered on the morning of 4 May 2026 at Place de Paris. The meeting aimed to highlight that mutual respect is an essential part of “travelling together” in shared mobility spaces such as buses, trains and the tram.

Travel well together: respect starts with discretion
Through simple acts of mutual respect, everyone can contribute to a respectful coexistence that enhances travel quality and collective well-being. Adopting a respectful attitude therefore involves:
- being discreet during personal conversations,
- using headphones and keeping the volume at an appropriate level,
- remembering that public transport is not a private space.
Held under the auspices of Yuriko Backes, Minister for Mobility and Public Works, this initiative is part of the national campaign “Le respect, c’est simple comme bonjour”, launched in 2023. As in previous years, the initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Public Transport Administration, the City of Luxembourg, Luxtram, the CFL and the TICE. It is supported by awareness and communication actions deployed in public transport, on the partners’ social media channels, and in public spaces.
