Reorganisation of the TICE and RGTR bus networks in the Southern region from 4 January 2026

4 January 2026 marks a major milestone for mobility in the south of Luxembourg. The optimisation of the public transport network will significantly enhance the existing offer, covering both TICE and RGTR lines.

Key improvements include the expansion of the network with new routes and additional termini, extensions of existing lines and the introduction of a new cross-border line to facilitate travel beyond Luxembourg.

Changes from 4 January 2026

TICE Line 1: Esch – Belvaux – Differdange – Pétange – Lamadelaine – Rodange

• Extended to Rodange with a new terminus at Rodange-Schwämm
• New route in Esch via rue Sidney Thomas and rue Victor Hugo

TICE Line 2: Schifflange – Esch – Soleuvre – Differdange

• Extended to the economic activity zone ZAE “Op Herbett” in Schifflange
• Serving Esch-Lallange and rue du Moulin in Schifflange

TICE Line 3: Esch – Belvaux – Bascharage – Linger – Rodange
New route in Bascharage via Rue de Hautcharage instead of Rue de Schouweiler

TICE Line 4: Esch Belval – Esch Gare – Schifflange – Kayl – Dudelange

• Extended to the National Health Laboratory (LNS) in Dudelange
• New service to the Burange district (rue Alexander Fleming / route de Burange)
• More direct and faster route in Esch via rue Large instead of boulevard Prince Henri

TICE Line 5: Ehlerange – Esch – Rumelange – Kayl – Dudelange
Two new termini:

• Extended to ZARE business zone in Ehlerange
• Extended to the National Audiovisual Centre (CNA) in Dudelange

TICE Line 7: Esch – Lallange – Esch Belval – Soleuvre

• Extended from Belval to Soleuvre “Scheierhaff”
• Adjusted route in Esch-Lallange via rue de Luxembourg instead of rue Emile Mayrisch

From 4 January 2026, the Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch in Esch-sur-Alzette will be served by RGTR line 641.

TICE Line 14: Differdange – Sanem – Bascharage – Pétange – Rodange

• Terminus moved from Differdange-Schoul to Oberkorn-Aquasud

TICE Line 15: Esch – Belval – Belvaux – Bascharage – Fingig – Clemency

• New route in Bascharage via rue de Schouweiler instead of rue de Hautcharage
• More direct route in Belval via boulevard du Jazz

Changes from 14 December 2025

RGTR Line 643 (formerly TICE line 17: Esch – Ehlerange – Mondercange – Pontpierre)

• New line number
• New terminus in Pontpierre, rue d’Europe

RGTR Line 650: Belvaux – Belval – Rumelange – Bettembourg

• New route via Rumelange along N33

RGTR Line 651 (cross-border)

• New service every 15 minutes between Volmerange-les-Mines and Oberkorn via Dudelange, Kayl and Esch-sur-Alzette

From 14 December 2025, the TICE Citybus routes 8, 9, 10 and 12 will be taken over by the municipalities, with no changes to timetables or routes.
