More about RegioZone:
RegioZone is a standardised fare for cross-border bus connections which is calculated based on zones. Two such zones have been defined in regards to their distance to Luxembourg.
Moreover, there are annual upgrades for students who own a student pass and wish to travel across the border (“Studentepass Regio”). This upgrade is only valid in combination with the national pass, both of which must be shown to the ticket inspector.
People under the age of 20 travel for free on RegioZone bus lines for trips that are in the national fare zone. For routes beyond that, adolescents from 13 years must purchase a RegioZone ticket or pass, or the “Studentepass Regio” upgrade, if eligible. Exception: line 686 is not affected by this, where students with a myCard travel for free on the entire route.
Children under the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
